-Pompey was a political and a military leader. He was an allie of Caesar, then turned into an enemy.
-the three of them started all as friends, which made people nervous about them taking over.
-they were such good friends, Pompey married Caesar's daughter, Julia.
-they started fighting, and Pompey was killed in Egypt and the pharaoh brought Caesar back his head which made him feel guilty. His son-in-law and his allie was dead.

-Octavian thought Antony was trying to take over with Cleopatra
